Aircraft Carrying US Defense Secretary Required to Land in UK Due to Crack in Windshield

An aircraft transporting Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was compelled to make an unscheduled landing in the UK on Wednesday after a crack was identified in the plane's windshield, per an official announcement which verified that Hegseth was safe.

"The jet touched down based on standard procedures and all passengers, including Pete Hegseth, is secure," a spokesperson stated in a public statement.

Hegseth was returning from a quick journey to the city of Brussels when the incident occurred.

This incident isn't the first time that a American defense plane transporting a high-ranking official has encountered mechanical issues.

Earlier this year, a US Air Force plane transporting Secretary of State Marco Rubio to Munich was forced to turn back to Washington DC after suffering a mechanical problem.
