Homages Continue for the Reiners as Autopsy Reports Face a Security Hold.
Well beyond 14 days subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of celebrated filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community persist in remembering the couple.
Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Pays Tribute to His Director
Writing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, explained he just recently felt ready to express about his deep grief.
"Adequate time has passed that I can at last articulate my loss into words," posted Elwes, adding that his introductory moment with Reiner created an instant bond. "Once we started passing more hours together I understood this was someone I desired in my life."
The actor posted never-before-seen clips from the movie, adding that he doesn't recollect "a single day without joy".
"This story is about affection, allegiance and giving. Principles that Rob cherished deeply. Which is among the many reasons he was the ideal person to direct it," Elwes expressed.
He went on to praise Michele Reiner, saying: "Asserting that they were a great team would be an understatement. My heart still pangs every time I think of you." He finished with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."
Martin Scorsese Remembers a Colleague and Comrade
In a different piece, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.
"Immediately, I loved being with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese shared.
Scorsese pointed out Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the protagonist.
"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked wonderfully with everyone, and he understood the human predicament of his character," Scorsese wrote.
Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Sealed
