'Living a Nightmare': Families of Missing Teenagers Desperately Seek News After Alpine Blaze

The families of young people lost after a tragic inferno at a bar in a Switzerland's winter destination are confronting an excruciating wait for answers and appealing for clues about their children via social media.

The blaze engulfed the Le Constellation bar in the alpine resort, located in the Swiss Alps of the Valais region, in the small hours of the first day of the year. Verified video reveal the roof structure igniting as beverages with fireworks are held aloft.

Authorities have stated that it could take days if not weeks to formally name the victims of the disaster, which killed four dozen individuals and wounded another 119. A spokesperson noted on the latest update that 113 of the those hurt have been accounted for, with efforts still underway to locate the other six.

In the meantime, loved ones have been taking to online platforms to plead for any news about their loved ones who were at the bar that fateful night.

Heartbreaking Pleas for the Unaccounted For

Alice Kallergis, who holds both Greek and Swiss nationality but lives full-time in Switzerland, was also at the bar on that night, according to media.

Her sibling has posted an appeal online, saying the relatives has had "no news" regarding the 15-year-old or the three friends she was with, who are also reported missing.
