Netflix Casts Perfect Performer for Bon Clay in the Hit Series Third Season
The Secret Organization is set to make a major impact in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, though the true confrontation won’t take place until the next season, and a beloved, audience-beloved member has recently been selected.
Netflix announced Tuesday that the talented performer is now part of the One Piece cast for the third season and will embody Bentham. This character possesses the power to morph into an identical duplicate of any individual they’ve made contact with with their right hand. The performer, who is identifies as non-binary and prefers they/them pronouns, will depict a rendition of that character reimagined as non-binary, rather than as a drag queen, in the live-action series, as in the original manga and animated series.
Escola is joined by multiple new cast members tasked with bringing Baroque Works to the screen, such as leader Mr. 0, played by the well-known actor, Sophia Anne Caruso as Miss Goldenweek, and a familiar face, who will appear as the ensemble as the monarch of the fictional land.
Though the role is a key figure of the group, the individual won’t appear until One Piece season 3. Considering the second season expected to adapt the Little Garden storyline, this signals a notable change in the schedule of their first appearance, one that could indicate further changes to the story’s structure.
Their mix of sharp comedic timing and deep sensitivity makes them a ideal selection for the character. In addition to their latest vocal work in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and several accolades for writing and starring in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, highlighting the versatility they’ll bring to one of One Piece’s widely praised characters.
Netflix's live-action One Piece show is due to premiere for its season two on the tenth of March, 2026.
