Renowned Actor The actor Pat Finn, Famed For Parts in Friends and The Middle, Passes Away at Age 60.
Stateside actor Pat Finn, who appeared in popular television series including Friends, Seinfeld and "The Middle", has succumbed at 60 years old.
The comedic improv actor succumbed at his home in Los Angeles, California recently after undergoing treatment for a cancer diagnosis beginning in 2022, as reported by media reports.
"He considered no one a stranger - only friends he had yet to meet," his family shared in a message.
They continued that he had "embraced life completely - with happiness and energy".
A Notable TV Career
His initial on-screen part was in the George Wendt Show in the mid-90s, where he portrayed the lead character's sibling.
He also had a regular part on Murphy Brown between 1995 and 1997.
He played the part of the character Joe Mayo in Seinfeld in the late 90s, depicting a host who would assign tedious tasks to his guests.
In the 90s and 2000s, he made guest appearances on a variety of hit series, including:
- The King of Queens
- "Friends"
- That '70s Show
- House, M.D.
His most famous role for portraying the character Bill Norwood in "The Middle", appearing throughout eight seasons from 2011 to 2018.
His film credits include It's Complicated and "Santa Paws 2".
Off-Screen Life
Away from his on-screen roles, Finn was a skilled improviser and worked as a teacher at the University of Colorado, where he was an adjunct professor.
He was part of a comedy group of six named Beer Shark Mice.
"He taught, supported, and inspired countless students throughout the years and you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone who has anything negative to say about him," his family wrote.
Paying homage, fellow actor actor Richard Kind said there was "no kinder, gentler, funnier, down to earth person you could encounter".
"Perpetually optimistic, making those around him better and funnier. A great dad, a great guy," Kind wrote on social media.
The actor is remembered by his partner Donna, three children, and his parents and siblings.
